As Jody Springer watched the Today Show in 2007 with her days-old son, Roman, something caught her attention. Lisa Druxman, the founder of Stroller Strides, was being interviewed, and Jody was intrigued. "I immediately went to the website to look for classes in my area," Jody recalls. When she realized there weren't any nearby, she was redirected to information about starting her own franchise. Little did she know that moment would shape the next 17 years of her life.
“I spent my 12-week maternity leave learning more and figuring out how I was going to leave my job as a marine biologist,” Jody explains. While she returned to her job for a few months, Jody wasted no time pursuing her newfound passion.
“I signed the purchase of my FIT4MOM franchise the day after my first day back to work.” Soon after, Jody left her career and began offering classes full-time. This was just the beginning of a transformative journey—for her and hundreds of moms in the Wilmington area.
