Amilette’s journey is one of perseverance, passion, and purpose. From navigating the challenges of postpartum depression to discovering a sense of community and fulfillment through FIT4MOM, she has turned her personal experience into a thriving business that impacts the lives of moms every day. Here's how Amilette found her calling, balancing family life and entrepreneurship and building a supportive village for moms in her community.

Amilette’s introduction to FIT4MOM came during a difficult chapter of her life. Struggling with postpartum depression and anxiety after the birth of her second child, her doctor advised her to find a supportive community of women. That’s when she discovered FIT4MOM, a decision that would change her life forever.

Discovering FIT4MOM in a Time of Need

“I started as a client when my second child was born, during a very challenging time in my life. I was struggling with severe postpartum depression and anxiety, and my doctor recommended finding a group of women for support. That’s when I found FIT4MOM,” Amilette explains. “I took a class, and from that moment, I was hooked. FIT4MOM gave me purpose, structure to my days, and a community of friends who were in the same season of life.”

FIT4MOM provided her with a space where she felt seen and supported. “I attended class every single day,” she recalls, emphasizing the importance of having a daily routine that not only helped her physical health but also her mental well-being.

The Path to Ownership

After her two older children started school full-time, Amilette stepped away from FIT4MOM. However, eight years later, when a surprise pregnancy came, she knew exactly where she needed to be.

“After attending just one class, I immediately submitted my application to become an instructor,” she shares. Soon after, when Lisa Druxman, the founder of FIT4MOM, allowed the San Diego instructors to purchase their franchises, Amilette didn’t hesitate. “Now, 8 months into owning my franchise, I'm still pinching myself to ensure it's not a dream.”

Becoming a franchise owner allowed Amilette to embrace her love for fitness, community, and leadership. Her journey into ownership has been filled with pride, as she reflects on her "village" of moms. “My FIT4MOM North County Inland village is so beautiful. I am so proud that my moms are so full of love and welcoming to each and everyone.”

Her time in the banking industry also played a significant role in her success. “I spent 14 years in the banking industry, and I’ve brought so much of that experience to running my franchise.” From leading a team of instructors to handling customer service, her previous roles helped her transition into this new chapter seamlessly.

Additionally, her experience in managing finances for a non-profit organization equipped her with the skills to manage her franchise’s budget. “All these jobs, and whatever job you might be in, give you skills that can be invaluable in managing a FIT4MOM franchise.”

Building a Supportive Village for Moms

For Amilette, the best part of being a FIT4MOM franchise owner is the impact she has on the moms who come through her program. “Women come to us, often without a community, and leave having found their village,” she says. “They find purpose, thrive with a regular schedule alongside their kids, and experience genuine support.”

She emphasizes the uniqueness of FIT4MOM, saying, “There’s truly nothing like FIT4MOM out there, and I am so honored to be part of this incredible company.”

Amilette’s journey is a testament to the power of community, resilience, and the profound impact that FIT4MOM can have on both moms and their families. Through FIT4MOM, Amilette has found her calling—not only as a business owner but as a leader, mentor, and inspiration to the moms in her village.
