Strength, Support, and a Village: Inside the FIT4MOM Experience

At FIT4MOM, every instructor has a story, but some stories beautifully capture what it means to grow with your village. PRO Team member and franchisee Bri Hunstiger is one of those stories. From searching for connection as a new mom to building a thriving community of her own, Bri embodies the heart of FIT4MOM.

A Full House (and a Full Heart)

Bri is mom to three amazing kids - Brooklyn (9), Jackson (7), and Zoey (3). Add in two dogs and a growing collection of guinea pigs (thanks to her animal-loving kiddos), and it’s safe to say her home is full of energy, laughter, sports, and snacks.

Her kids have grown up alongside FIT4MOM - literally. They’ve spent countless mornings in the stroller, cheering on their mom and the village that helped shape their childhood.

Finding FIT4MOM When It Mattered Most

Like so many moms, Bri discovered FIT4MOM during a season that can feel both beautiful and isolating. After a quick Google search as a new mom living in Pennsylvania, she walked into her first class looking for movement and connection and found so much more.

Those early days of motherhood felt lonely, but FIT4MOM changed that.

What started as a workout quickly became her support system and a place where she could ask the real questions, share the ups and downs, and feel understood. Over time, Bri fell in love with the mission and became an instructor.

When her family moved back to Texas, there wasn’t a FIT4MOM location in The Woodlands—so she did something incredible: she opened one.

Now, she’s the one creating that same life-changing space for other moms.

Watching Moms Realize Their Strength

Ask Bri what she loves most about being an instructor, and her answer is simple: watching moms discover how strong they really are.

So many women show up to their first class feeling unsure, especially in those early postpartum months. Bri gets to walk alongside them as they build strength, confidence, and belief in themselves.

And the best part? Their kids are right there for the journey.

There’s something truly special about watching babies grow up in the stroller while their moms grow stronger—physically and mentally.

More Than a Workout—A Village

For Bri, the heart of FIT4MOM is the community.

It’s the friendships that extend beyond class. The support during hard seasons. The celebrations, the encouragement, the understanding.

Because motherhood was never meant to be done alone, FIT4MOM creates a space where moms don’t have to.

Mini Band Upper Body Workout

Busy moms need workouts that are simple, effective, and easy to take anywhere—and that’s exactly why Bri loves mini bands.

These moves target the shoulders, arms, and upper back, areas moms use all day long while lifting babies, pushing strollers, and carrying everything life throws their way.

Triceps Kickbacks

Why it works: Strengthens the back of the arms for all the lifting and carrying moms do.

How to do it: Stand with a slight bend in your knees and hold the mini band in both hands. With elbows bent at 90 degrees and tucked close to your sides. Extend one arm straight back, squeezing the triceps, then return with control.

Mini Band Chest Press

Why it works: Builds strength in the chest and shoulders for pushing movements.

How to do it: Start with elbows bent at shoulder height, holding the mini band with two hands. Press one arm forward at a time until it’s fully extended, then slowly return to the starting position.

Upright Mid Row (“Bow and Arrow”)

Why it works: Strengthens the upper back and improves posture.

How to do it: Hold the mini band in both hands straight out in front of you. Pull one arm back like you’re drawing a bow, keeping the opposite arm extended. Squeeze between the shoulder blades, then return to center and alternate sides.

Serve the Tray to Scapular Retraction (“Serve the Snacks”)

Why it works: Encourages proper shoulder alignment and strengthens the upper back.

How to do it: Start with elbows bent at your sides, palms facing up, holding the band. Extend your arms forward (“serve the tray”), then pull the band apart as you squeeze your shoulder blades together before returning to your starting position.

Biceps Curl to Shoulder Press

Why it works: A functional combo that builds arm and shoulder strength.

How to do it: Start with a slight bend in your knees, with arms down in front of you. Ensure your palms face in and the mini band is around both wrists. Bend arms to 90 degrees to perform a biceps curl, then press overhead into a shoulder press. Reverse the movement back down with control.

Lat Pulldown

Why it works: Strengthens the back and supports better posture.

How to do it: Begin with the mini band around both wrists and arms overhead. Create resistance with the mini band, then pull it down toward your chest by bending your elbows and drawing your arms toward your sides. Slowly extend back up to the starting position.

Bent Over Lateral Raise

Why it works: Targets the back of the shoulders and upper back for stability.

How to do it: Hinge forward at the hips with a flat back. Have the mini band around both wrists under slight tension. Raise one arm out to the sides with a slight bend in the elbows, then lower back down with control and switch arms.

Bri loves mini bands because they’re accessible for every fitness level and incredibly versatile. They provide just enough resistance to build strength while allowing for controlled, functional movement.

And maybe most importantly, they make it easier for moms to fit in a quick, effective workout anytime, anywhere.

For Bri, FIT4MOM has been more than a career—it’s been a life-changing journey.

What started as a place to find support as a new mom has become a community she now leads with heart and purpose. Watching her village grow, seeing moms form lasting friendships, and helping women feel strong, capable, and connected—that’s what it’s all about.

And thanks to leaders like Bri, more moms get to experience exactly what they need, right when they need it most: strength, support, and a village.
