Building a Village, Building a Business: The Rewards of a FIT4MOM Franchise

The journey into motherhood is a wild ride, and for many of us, it’s nothing like the picture we had in our heads. It’s a beautiful, messy, and often lonely road. Brianna Hunstiger, owner of FIT4MOM The Woodlands, knows this feeling all too well. Like many new moms, she found herself exhausted and searching for something that felt real, a community that understood the sleepless nights and the quiet struggles. Little did she know that search would lead her to a purpose she never expected: becoming a FIT4MOM franchise owner.

Brianna’s story began far from her Texas roots, just outside of Philadelphia, where her first daughter was born. In the hazy days of new motherhood, she found herself scrolling through search results for “mom groups” and stumbled upon FIT4MOM. She decided to give it a try and went to her first Stroller Strides class. In that single class, she discovered the magic she had been missing.

“I was exhausted and lonely,” she remembers, “just wishing someone would say, ‘Yep, me too—I’m tired, and this isn’t always butterflies and rainbows.’”

She recalls the instructor, Tracy, scooping up her fussy baby so she could finish her workout. That small act of kindness was a huge moment. It made Brianna feel seen, something she had desperately needed. She and her daughter were hooked. They kept going to classes, building friendships, and about a year later, Brianna even became an instructor herself.

Then, life took another turn. Her family had the opportunity to move back to Texas. While she was excited to be closer to home, she was also sad to leave her newfound village. That’s when the idea sparked: there wasn’t a FIT4MOM in The Woodlands. With the encouragement of her husband and friends, she decided to take the leap and bring the magic of FIT4MOM to her new community. It was truly one of the best decisions she ever made.

The "Why" Behind the Business

Brianna’s FIT4MOM "why" is simple, yet powerful: she wants every mom to have a place where they feel seen, supported, and not alone. She never wants another mom to feel the same sense of isolation she experienced in those early days of motherhood. Her mission is to create community through fitness, giving every mom a place to belong.

When she first started, Brianna's goals were humble: build a community, get moms moving, and hopefully just break even. But as her village has grown, so has she. Her mindset has expanded, and her goals have become bigger, both for herself and for her business. While community remains the heart of everything she does, she’s also discovered a deep sense of purpose outside of motherhood. She loves the challenges of being an entrepreneur, navigating the world of sales and social media, and the day-to-day work that constantly stretches and grows her as a person.

This journey has been a perfect fit for her. Before becoming a mom, Brianna had a variety of jobs—teacher, barista, salesperson, and even a dog-walker. “But none of them ever made me feel as proud or excited as I do about FIT4MOM,” she says. She jokingly calls it her "fourth child."

For Brianna, FIT4MOM seamlessly integrates with motherhood. It allows her to be with her kids while also having something that is just for her, something that lights her up. She firmly believes that being filled up makes her a better mom. “Honestly, I don’t think I would have stepped out of being a stay-at-home mom for anything else,” she says.

The Support That Makes All the Difference

One of the things Brianna values most about being a FIT4MOM franchise owner is the incredible support system. She’s loved the opportunity to grow as an entrepreneur through the education, collaboration, and support available. She feels like there’s always something new to learn, and she’s grateful for that.

She has attended conferences and events that have left her inspired and ready to bring fresh ideas back to her business. But the most impactful support has been her peer performance group, whom she affectionately calls “Visionary Vibes.” These women have been an incredible source of camaraderie, idea-sharing, and support through all the ups and downs of business ownership. They have transformed not only her business but also the way she shows up as a leader.

On top of that, she knows she always has the support of the Home Office team right at her fingertips. A quick email or phone call can get her the guidance and encouragement she needs. That kind of unwavering support makes all the difference when you’re building something from the ground up.

The Wild Ride is Worth It

When asked what she loves most about being a FIT4MOM franchisee, Brianna doesn’t hesitate. It’s the impact. She loves watching moms find strength, connection, and confidence through the village she’s built. It’s a gift to see the friendships blossom, to watch moms walk into class as strangers and leave with their "people"—the ones who will text them on the hard days and cheer them on in a workout.

She also loves that it’s not just about the moms. The kids grow up together, too—sharing snacks, chasing bubbles, and learning what it feels like to be part of a community. These connections, both big and small, make motherhood feel less lonely and so much more joyful.

Brianna is quick to mention that the moms in her village have impacted her just as much as she’s impacted them. “Every single woman who comes to class leaves an imprint on my life,” she says. She loves getting to know moms during such an important season of their lives and feels privileged to be able to love on this community.

To any mom who is hoping to find their next passion project, Brianna says this: “Owning a FIT4MOM franchise is truly the best job in the world. It’s not always easy, and there will be challenges, but the reward of making an impact in your community is worth it every single day. The journey will stretch you in all the best ways, both personally and professionally.”

She encourages anyone who is even a little bit curious to come try a class. You just might find the village you didn’t know you needed. And if you’re thinking about becoming an owner, “Being a FIT4MOM owner is such a gift. You’ll grow, you’ll learn, and you’ll have the privilege of making an impact on moms’ lives in the most meaningful way.”
