**Tell us about yourself **
I am a 26 year old stay at home mom with a 14 month old son. I work out at the New Tampa Fit4Mom location. I found out about Fit4Mom through the internet. After I made the decision to stay at home with my son, I started looking for exercise classes that would allow me to bring him with me, and I realized Stroller Strides was the perfect fit.
**You look amazing, how long has it taken you? When were these photos taken?
In the 8 weeks of this Body Back session, I have lost 20 pounds, 15 inches total and 2 pants sizes! These photos were taken on the first and last days of Body Back.
**What motivated you to make a change?**
I had been doing Stroller Strides for a few months, when Jenni Crafton, the owner of Fit4Mom New Tampa, announced she was doing a fall Body Back session. I was happy with the level of fitness I’d achieved through Stroller Strides, but I knew I needed help changing my diet. I had heard so many good things from other Body Back moms, that I knew I had to try it.
**Here is the question our moms are dying to know the answer to: What are you doing to get/stay so healthy!? **
I’ve been doing Stroller Strides for 8 months, and I have just completed an 8 week session of Body Back. I have been trying to work out every day, either through Body Back, Stroller Strides, videos or running. I also focused on maintaining a food journal and measuring out portions.
**It can be SO HARD to find “me” time when you are taking care of your family, how were you able to make these healthy changes and stick to them while still doing all of you other day to day duties?**
The early morning sessions of Body Back were intimidating at first, but it really helped to be able to work out alone before my husband left for work. It hasn’t been easy keeping the exercise regimen up at home, I’ve done many a modified workout with my son in a baby carrier on my back instead of the stroller, and I’ve had to take lots of breaks to breastfeed or give snacks!
Body Back has really forced me to look at food in a new way. My husband and I have always made healthy meals, but our portion sizes were out of control. Measuring cups are now always out so there is no eyeballing a too big portion! It’s gotten to be routine for both of us, which makes it a lot easier to stick to.
**How do feel now? How has this changed your life?**
I feel amazing! My pre-pregnancy college clothes fit me again, and more importantly my energy level is way up. I just completed a 5K with my husband, and we are looking for other races to do together.
**What advice do you have for other moms who want to get healthy?**
Don’t wait! Start today. I put off exercising and eating better for so long, because I felt like I was too busy. It wasn’t until my first day of Body Back with Jenni that I realized no one else was going to do it for me. Even just tracking calories and measuring portion sizes goes a long way!
